About Us
We have extensive experience managing projects as General Contractors of large renovations, as well as managing smaller projects or taking on finishing and framing contracts with local partners.
Owner / Builder
Owner Hayden Bavin has had a passion for building and carpentry from an early age. Growing up on a farm in New Zealand, there were always sheds to be built and fences to be put up. Hayden went on to complete a degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management from the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology in 2009.
After immigrating to Vancouver in 2009, Hayden began working in and excelling in the local construction industry soon after arriving. In 2014, after gaining further experience in premier and high-end projects in Vancouver, Hayden founded HB Builders. By starting HB Builders, Hayden has been able to build a team that pushes for and meets the same high expectations and craftsmanship he's kept throughout his career.

The Team
HB Builders is comprised of a team of carpenters, apprentices, Project Coordinators and Operations. We know that a connected, equitable and fun team is what makes it successful. Valuing the team is what keeps HB Builders committed and ready to do good work on all of our projects. We are committed to ensuring all of our team members can bring forth their skills and expertise, and we support each others' development and goals, whether on or off the site. Off the site, we also enjoy a good team event, whether it's golfing, fishing or enjoying a few Friday beers. HB Builders is committed to ensuring we use equitable hiring practices and when hiring, we work with local organizations to support recruitment.
